Each step earns the next one, and none of them locks you in. The climb is the same everywhere: doing the work faster first, then changing how the work works, then work that wasn't viable before. Most organisations stop one level in. You don't need a problem to start: the survey, the pre-mortem, and the workshops are where the get-it-right-first-time work begins.
